CareScribe Release Notes

What's new in each app build, newest first. iOS builds arrive through TestFlight; Android builds are an install link your administrator shares.

Latest iOS 22 Android 12 October 1, 2026

Spoken tasks, quick recaps and diagnosis code search

  • Say a task, and it goes into Avon

Tap record and say something like “Remind me to do a fall screening for John in room 112 by Friday.” CareScribe creates one Avon task in that resident's chart, assigned to you. There's no note and no billed time.

    • A due date you say aloud is used. Otherwise it's due a week out, and you can change it before filing.
    • Tasks show up in Recordings, just like your visits.
    • A task needs a resident for now. If you didn't name one, the review screen warns you before you file.
  • Recap a visit afterwards, in a few seconds

Forgot to record? Afterwards, say something like “I saw Margaret this morning, her knee's better, about twenty minutes.” CareScribe drafts the visit note.

    • The date and minutes come from what you said, and you confirm them on the review screen.
    • The minutes are shown prominently, because they're billed and nothing else checks them.
    • If you don't say a date, the note is dated today and tells you so.
  • Short recordings now work on the phone

Quick tasks and recaps under 10 seconds are accepted as long as the phone actually heard you speak. Silent recordings are still refused. On the web app, recordings still need at least 10 seconds.

  • Fix the recording type in one tap

The review screen shows what the AI thinks the recording is: a live visit, a recap or a task. If it's wrong, tap It's a task, It was a recap or Not a task? Make it a visit note. The AI re-drafts after asking you first.

  • Search diagnosis codes

Diagnosis fields now have ICD-10-CM search, by code or description, so you can add codes yourself.

    • Amber means the code isn't on the resident's chart. It's allowed, and the clinician reviews it at sign-off.
    • Red means the code isn't billable, such as a broad category like E11. It blocks pushing until you remove it or pick a more specific code.

iOS 21 and Android 11 keep working, but they can't create spoken tasks or take recordings under 10 seconds. Please update. Everything still goes to Avon as you, and only after you review it.

Your notes and tasks in Avon are yours

  • Everything CareScribe sends to Avon is created by you, from your own Avon account: notes, answers and tasks. Tasks and Avon's sign-off request are assigned to you.
  • If your sign-in isn't linked to an active Avon staff account, the app tells you before you record, and Review offers only Save for later.

Leaving Review never drops your edits

  • The menu, switching facility and signing out now ask about unsaved edits first: Save and continue, Discard or Keep editing.
  • A reopened recap keeps the minutes you saved.
iOS 19Android 9September 29, 2026

Back to Recordings from Review

  • A ‹ Recordings link at the top of Review & submit takes you back to the list, asking first if you have unsaved edits.
  • Recordings refreshes itself while a note is drafting or filing.
iOS 18Android 8September 28, 2026

The keyboard stays out of your way

  • On iPhone, content moves above the keyboard, a Done bar sits above it, and dragging or tapping away dismisses it.
  • The recording card hides while the AI re-drafts after a template change, and a reopened draft keeps its trim.
iOS 17Android 7September 25, 2026

Sign and push, due dates, safer templates

  • Sign and Push to Avon signs the note as you. Push without Signing is one tap away, and your last choice is remembered.
  • Suggested tasks get an editable due date, one week out by default.
  • Changing the note template asks first. Primary Care, Urgent Care and CC360 templates are offered to providers only.
  • A doctor or visitor named in the conversation is never taken for the resident.
